TEXAS CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY

Constitutional Carry in Texas

Texas HB 1927, enacted as the Firearm Carry Act of 2021, went into effect on September 1st, 2021 making Texas the 21st state to pass a form of constitutional (permitless) carry in the United States.  Though permitless carry may now be legal, those choosing to carry without a permit are in fact subject to restrictions relating to eligibility requirements, methods of carry and locations where a firearm can be carried, along with a number of additional rules which do not apply to Texas LTC (License to Carry) holders.
