Student Required Items:

The LTC Proficiency Demonstration (test) will be administered a maximum of two times, back to back. In the event a passing score is not achieved, a re-test may be scheduled for a later date for an additional charge of $95. Failure to pass the test will NOT entitle you to a refund.
Description of the Test:
The proficiency demonstration (test) consists of a 50 round shooting qualification. Being a “proficiency demonstration”, proper gun handling and safety is being demonstrated by the applicant to the LTC instructor.
Applicants must score a 70% or higher to pass. That is 175 points out of a possible 250 points. There are multiple rings on the target (as depicted) for scoring. Everything in the 8 ring and in is 5 points, inside the 7 ring is 4 points and outside the 7 ring but still in the body is 3 points.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate, at a minimum, the degree of proficiency that is required to effectively operate a handgun. The LTC instructor shall, through observation and/or practical exercise, determine if the student is able to safely load, unload, and manipulate the safety features of his/her weapon during this demonstration period.
The entire course of fire (below) must be completed. Rounds that are not fired within the allotted time, including malfunctions are lost and cannot be made up.
