PRECISION LONG RANGE TRAINING

Course: Precision Long Range - Level 1 (PLR-1)
Duration: 2 Days (Saturday and Sunday) 

Date: March 7th and 8th - 2026 

Location: Mission Critical training ranch, Gatesville TX

Participants: 2 min / 5 max 

Prerequisite: 

Knowledge of firearms safety, muzzle control and muzzle discipline. This is an introductory course. No prior experience with a precision rifle is required
Overview:

• Fundamentals of precision rifle shooting
• Foundational shooting position development
• Establishing zero
• D.O.P.E collection
• Reticle range estimation
• Mildot Master work
• Reading, dialing & holding wind / ballistics calculations
• Multiple target engagement work at both known & unknown distances ranging from 200 to 1000 + yards

Instructor Cadre:

• Seasoned active duty and/or retired military & LEO snipers
• Aim True Group provides support staffing to the Mission Critical sniper instructor cadre

Strict Student Vetting:

• All students are required to provide a color copy of their  valid drivers license via email prior to the course
• If you have a valid license to carry, this should be submitted as well in order to expedite the process
• Background checks will be performed by the LEO members of the cadre
• The LEO cadre makes the final call on student eligibility

Student Required Gear:

• Seasonally appropriate clothing
• Rain gear (if needed)
• Eye & ear protection

Rifle:

• Rifle capable of one minute of angle or better
• Scope that can dial or hold (preferable mil radian sub tensions and turrets , or MOA reticle with MOA turrets)
• Harris bipod swivel model 6-9 or equivalent

Rifle Support Gear:

• Shooting mat
• Rear bag
• Mildot Master
• Notebook / pen
• iPhone or app driven phone to use ballistic solver apps

Ammo:

• Match grade ammunition
• 300 rounds minimum

  Optional Equipment: (the ranch provides these during class)

• Kestrel Ballistics Meter
• Spotting scope
• Range finder
• Tripod to shoot off of and any other equipment you may use in your hunting scenarios 

Course Fee: A baseline fee is required to cover the cost of administering the course. The individual tuition rate reduces as the number of participants increases. A minimum of two students is required to secure a course, with a maximum of five.

Training is available at a rate of:

• $2000 for groups of two
• $2550 for groups of three
• $3000 for groups of four
• $3500 for groups of five

Course Deposit: An initial deposit of $750 is required to secure your spot.

Course Fee Wind-Up: A week out from the course start date, the roster is finalized and final invoices are sent out. Students may owe more, or might be getting a refund.  

Example 1: Two shooters total are enrolled. Both paid the $750 deposit totaling $1500. Both will now be invoiced an additional $250 to meet the above $2000 rate for groups of two.

Example 2: Five shooters have enrolled. All paid the $750 deposit totaling $3750. All five will now be refunded $50 each, bringing the course account balance to $3500 for groups of five.
